I feel like if you are going to spend an hour or more of your life with someone staring at you through a lens, you should know something about the person, don't you agree?
Recently I asked clients to describe me in 1-2 words. They described me as creative, patient, kind, genuine, caring, compassionate, easy going, & comfortable. I was so thrilled to hear that this is conveyed - this is what makes me ME.
I am a creative person - I draw, paint, and take photographs. Photography is my preferred creative outlet because there is so much opportunity to try new things, and I get to see the results of my work right away - I can assure you that I am almost as anxious to see your photographs as you are! I try to have fun during photo sessions, and I want to get to know you as a person. What you reveal to me as we work together sets the tone for what I will produce for you later.
But, it's not just all about the photo session - after your session, I spend hours of time working to make your photos expressive of YOU and your event, milestone, or day that you want to remember. By the time I am finished, your photos have some little bit of me as an artist within them. When I deliver the photos to you, whether via digital download or fine art prints, I am anxiously waiting to hear how you feel about them. I want you to be happy with the one-of-a-kind art I've created for you.
When I am not working as a portrait photographer, I am a Geology professor at Georgia State University. I really enjoy rocks and looking at the landscape around us. I am also a wife (of nearly 30 years), a mother (to an 18 and 19 yr old), and a crazy cat/dog lady (3 dogs, 4 cats).
There are tons of photographers. And, a lot of them do great work. So why work with me? I'm honest, I care about you, and I care about giving you photographs you will love. I hope to be able to work with you soon - contact me any time at pollyboukerphotos@gmail.com and I'll get right back with you!
